We have been remodeling bathrooms for Greater Indianapolis since 2015, and the promise has not changed: we won’t let you down.
Superior Bath System is the bath division of Energy Smart, and we do one thing properly. Tub-to-shower conversions, walk-in showers, replacement bathtubs and walk-in tubs, all built from non-porous acrylic and Onyx solid surface rather than tile and grout.
Your bathroom is measured before anything is made, fabricated in the USA to those dimensions, and fitted by installers who work for us. That is why two out of three homeowners who get a quote from us go ahead with it.

Questions, answered
The things homeowners in Central Indiana ask us most, answered plainly.
A standard remodel in Central Indiana usually lands between $13,000 and $35,000, which covers replacing the major fixtures and every wall surface. A small guest bathroom is often closer to $7,000 to $12,000, while a large master suite with a custom layout can pass $45,000. We price the job properly at the free in-home visit, once we have measured the room and you have chosen your finishes.
Nothing is improvised on site. We measure your room first, then your pan, wall panels and shelving are fabricated to those exact dimensions before installation day. When the crew arrives they strip out the old bath or shower, fit the new one, seal it, and clean up behind them. Most jobs are finished the same day and the bathroom is usable that night. Larger remodels that move plumbing or take in tile floors run longer, and we tell you that up front.
Tile looks good on day one, but the grout between it is porous. It absorbs water, stains, and eventually harbours mould and mildew that no amount of scrubbing fixes. Our solid surface walls are non-porous and go in as large panels, so there are almost no seams and no grout lines at all. Wipe them down and they are clean. You can still have the look of tile or natural stone through the colours and patterns we offer.
It is one of the most effective changes you can make. Stepping over a tub wall is where most bathroom falls happen, so replacing it with a low or zero-threshold shower removes the hazard entirely. We add grab bars that are anchored into blocking rather than screwed to the surface, built-in seating, slip-resistant pans and handheld shower heads. If a bath is important to keep, a walk-in tub with a sealed door does the same job.
Indianapolis water carries a lot of dissolved calcium and magnesium, which is what leaves the chalky film on glass and fixtures. Hard water is rough on grout in particular, because the deposits work into the pores and hold onto soap scum. A non-porous solid surface gives the minerals nothing to sink into, so buildup stays on the surface and comes off with a soft cloth and ordinary cleaner.
A dated or leaking bathroom is one of the first things buyers notice and one of the easiest things for them to discount an offer over. A midrange bathroom update is consistently among the better-returning home improvements, and beyond resale it removes a room you have been apologising for. If you are staying put, you get the benefit every day rather than once at closing.

Yes. Where a permit is required we pull it and deal with the inspection ourselves. Most straight replacements, where the bath or shower stays in the same footprint and the plumbing does not move, do not need one. If your project does, we tell you at quote stage so there are no surprises in the schedule.
