Onyx Shower Surround
A dark Onyx solid surface surround with a glass enclosure, replacing a tiled shower that had lost its grout.
This is the most common request we get. A bathtub that has not been filled in years, with a shower head above it, so everyone in the house steps over a high tub wall twice a day to get washed.
Taking the tub out and building a shower in the same footprint keeps the plumbing broadly where it is, which is what keeps the work inside a day. The new pan sits low enough that the climb disappears entirely.
Since the wall was already open, shelving went in at the heights the household actually reaches for, and a grab bar was anchored into blocking rather than fixed to the panel face.
